The 6 most high-tech trucks coming in 2017!

You don’t have to settle on tech when it comes to buying a pick-up truck.

Pick-up trucks are coming standard with semi-autonomous capabilities and remote access, among other innovative features.

1. The 2017 Ford F-Series Super Duty starts at $32,535 and is 350 pounds lighter than its predecessor. The F-250 comes with a conventional towing capacity of 18,000 pounds.

The Super Duty offers Trailer Reverse Guidance, where up to seven cameras aid offer visual cues and tips to make reversing with a trailer easier.

It also comes with adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and Cross-Traffic Alert that will warn you of obstacles when backing up.

2. The 2017 GM Canyon Denali has a maximum trailer tow rating of up to 7,000 pounds. It also comes with some fun little perks like a heated steering wheel.

The Denali has both a 7-inch diagonal touchscreen radio and a separate full-color information center. It offers 4G WiFi connectivity for up to seven devices.

3. The 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 provides up to 10,030 pound towing capacity.

It comes with an 8.4-inch touchscreen that lets you toggle between the rear back-up camera and cargo camera.

4. The Mitsubishi L200, which isn’t available in the US, comes with just over 9,000 pounds of total load capacity. For UK drivers looking for a solid truck, the L200 also comes with semi-autonomous features like lane-departure warning.

The L200 also comes with a feature called Trailer Stability Assist so the trailer doesn’t rock outside the line if there are side winds or poor road conditions.

5. The 2017 Toyota Tacoma can tow up to 6,800 pounds. It comes with Trailer Sway Control to ensure the trailer stays inside the lane.

The truck also comes with other tech features like a rear parking assist sonar, blind spot monitor, and rear cross-traffic alert to make sure you don’t hit anything while pulling out.

It also offers keyless entry and wireless charging inside the truck.

6. Mercedes-Benz unveiled two versions of its X-Class concept pickup truck just last week. The X-Class will enter production in late 2017, but it won’t be up for sale in the US. Here, we see the Stylish Explorer version of the X-Class pickup truck.

The Stylish Explorer comes with a continuous LED stripe on the tailgate and 22-inch wheels.

On to the tech, Mercedes says all X-Class trucks will come with driver assistance systems that rely on cameras, radar, and ultrasound sensors. The infotainment console comes with a touchscreen that can also be controlled using gestures.
