CHROME AND WINNING
Bryan of TeamSalamone wrapped his Verde Scandal Lamborghini Aventador Roadster at Detailing Dynamics in New York this weekend in preparation for next year’s goldRush Rally.
Verde Scandal is a particularly rare factory color that costs an additional $17,000 USD. Only a handful is painted in this bright neon shade. But, a handful isn’t exclusive enough in the exotic rally world. So, Bryan decided to resurrect his chrome body treatment with the signature ‘Tron Lightcycle’ outlines that he used on his previous Lamborghini. Now, nobody will mistake him for anybody else.
Wrapping a $17,000 paintjob on a Lamborghini Aventador Roadster isn’t easy.
It takes a tremendous amount of chrome material. Over 190 panels of Avery Silver Conform Chrome Flexible Vinyl Wrap from Metro Restyling were used. It took 200 hours to complete. In addition, the design is covered with intricate lines. More than 160 ft of bright green vinyl outlines were added before a final clear layer could be applied. Plus, it’s expensive. The total cost to cover a $17,000 paint job is upward of $30,000.
GOLDRUSH RALLY
The goldRush Rally might be the pinnacle of fun because of unique personalities like Bryan, and his custom Aventador Roadster.
According to goldRush Rally, it’s always appreciated when participants march to the beat of their own drum and choose to express themselves through the cars that they build. Most enthusiasts appreciate the amount of effort required to prepare and participate in a drive across the United States. However, there will always be those who disapprove of adding modifications like electronics, neon lights and vinyl wraps to such an expensive exotic.\

Bryan originally designed his outlined chrome style in 2012, when only stiff Hexis vinyl panels were available. The brightly colored panel gaps became his signature style. After this, the design was copied everywhere from the US to the Middle East to Singapore to China.
